Dense Blazing Star, Liatris Spicata 'Purple'
Liatris spicata
The "Purple" dense blazing star is a perennial plant with beautiful violet flowers.
The flowers form a plume-like arrangement that attracts a multitude of pollinators. They are also very interesting as cut flowers.
These perennials are suitable for both full sun exposure and a semi-shaded location.
They can reach a height of 60 cm.
Each pack contains 5 organic roots.
Plant Kansas feather grass plugs in spring, once the risk of severe frost has passed and the soil has warmed up (March to May). Space the plants about 20 cm apart so they have enough room to grow. When planting, take care not to set the plugs too deep: the top of the plug should be level with the soil surface and remain just barely visible, otherwise the plant will struggle to emerge.
To encourage good establishment, it is advisable to water the plugs after planting, especially if the spring is dry. After that, the plant requires little maintenance and grows easily once well established.
