Spinach Spring
Amaranthus tricolor
A tender and vigorous spinach for the first harvests of the year.
This fast-growing, bolt-resistant variety produces beautiful dark green, fleshy and flavourful leaves from the very first weeks of cultivation. Sown early in the season, it makes the most of the still-cool days to develop its full aroma before the heat of summer sets in.
Ideal for:
- Enjoying one of the first harvests of the kitchen garden
- Cooking tender leaves raw or cooked
- Sowing between slower-growing vegetables
Growing instructions
Sow from March to mid-April for a spring harvest (also possible from late July to late August). Rows 20 cm apart. 2 to 3 harvests possible.
