Brassica oleracea convar. acephala var. gongylodes
Suitable for both early and late cultivation, this large kohlrabi is violet-blue. It has tender flesh inside. It delights the sight and the palette.
Growing instructions
Sow in late March to early August in seedling trays. At the two-leaf stage, transfer to planting boxes at 5 ✕ 5 cm. Later, at 3–4 weeks of age, transplant seedlings to the open field at a distance of 25 ✕ 25 cm. Keep soil moisture constant. Intercrop with lettuce and celery to maximize yield.
