Brown mustard
Sinapis alba
Brown mustard is a flavourful, mildly spicy variety, perfect for salads, mesclun mixes, stir-fries and homemade preparations. Its tasty leaves add character and a gentle heat to dishes, while being easy to grow in the garden.
Growing instructions
Use as an aromatic herb: sow the seeds in March–April. Green manure cultivation: sow between March and September directly in open ground. Grows quickly and provides good ground cover.
