Alfalfa sprouts have a particularly mild, nutty flavor and are therefore among the most popular sprout varieties. They are ideal for topping salads, smoothies, summer rolls, and dips. Sprouts are the easiest way to add vitamins, minerals, trace elements, secondary plant compounds, and fiber to your diet in every season — freshly harvested and ‘locally grown’ right from your own home, on your windowsill!
Soak before germination. Rinse thoroughly with clear water before consumption. Fibrous root formation may occur. Use 1 tablespoon of seeds per sprouting tray or sprouter. Soak for 4 hours. Rinse twice a day and harvest after 7–8 days. The ideal germination temperature is 18–22°C. Do not consume before the 7th day.
