Phacelia
Phacelia tanacetifolia
Phacelia is the bee pasture par excellence. It flowers from May to October and provides pollinators with enormous amounts of pollen and nectar. It is also an excellent green manure, as its dense roots loosen the soil. It repels nematodes, tiny worms that live in the soil and can attack your plants. This plant reaches a height of about 100 cm. It is native to California.
Growing instructions
For bee meadow, sow from March to July directly into a finely prepared bed. Rake lightly. For green manure, sow until early September. Keep moist during the germination phase.
