Scallion, Spring onion (Ballenberg Edition)
Red stem onions are the perfect compliment to storage onions. As a fast growing variety, they provide fresh onion tops and juicy, meaty bulbs from late May to late autumn. These are great for light, quick meals such as stir fry on Asian woks or roasted on a barbeque.

Growing instructions
Sow at the beginning to the end of March in a seedling starter tray. After about four weeks, transplant the seedlings at a distance of 50✕50 cm apart. Harvest the mature seed heads in August/September.
