Oregano, Greek (perennial)
Origanum vulgare
Compared to wild oregano, this variety has a particularly balanced, delicate flavour. The flowers are exceptionally well frequented by bees. As a spice—fresh or dried—bring flavour to the kitchen. Harvest young shoots continuously as throughout the season.
Growing instructions
Sow from May to June in seedling trays. Transplant into the field at 25 ✕ 25 cm spacing. Trim back the plants in late autumn.
