Lactuca sativa var. capitata
The robust and firm lettuce has a slightly reddish head which livens up the garden and salad bowl. It is crisp and fresh. Grow from spring to autumn.
Growing instructions
Sow from March and onwards into seedling trays. Transplant at the 3–5 leaf stage. Plant out in April to the open field at 30 ✕ 30 cm spacing. It is great for intercropping with other vegetables.
