The flower mix 'Carpet from Qom' is one of the most popular perennial mixes.
As the name suggests, the bloom resembles the patterns of a delicate Persian carpet. Light-colored flowers provide a beautiful backdrop for the darker, more intricate species.
It blooms from early June to mid-September and can reach a height of 80 cm.
Perennial flower mixes thrive in sunny locations and poor soils. They require a moderate amount of water and little fertilizer. They flourish in well-tilled soils and are frost-resistant.
Sow the seeds broadly and use a rake to lightly cover them. Water generously until the seeds germinate. The ideal germination temperature is between 10°C and 25°C. The seeds typically germinate within 21 days.
Until the plants are well-established, regular weeding is necessary. Each year, mow the meadow at the end of summer and remove the hay from the plot.
