Common corn-cockle (Agrostema), Petite Corncockle (annual, overwinter)
Agrostemma gracilis
One could call this the little sister of our native corncockle. The graceful dark-pink petals are adorned with a finely dotted star. Once the eye catches a glimpse, it is hard to look away. Height reaches up to 100 cm. The flowering period is from June to August.
Growing instructions
Sow by broadcasting seeds in autumn or March–April right into the field. Corncockles thrive in any open garden soil in a sunny location. Grows well with neighbouring plants of bellflower and poppy.
