(Agrostemma gracilis). One could call it the dainty sister of our endemic corn cockle. The delicate dark-rose blossoms are featured with a fine punctuated star. A feast for the eyes. Height up to 100cm, blooming period June to August.

Broad-cast seeds on the spot in autumn or March-April. Flourishes at sunny location in every kind of open garden soil. Neighbouring plants are: corn bellflower and poppy.

(Agrostemma githago). An endemic field herb. Nowadays largely vanished from the fields due to the usage of herbicides. Plant of about 30-100cm height with purple blossoms. Blooms from June to July. Seeds are toxic in larger quantities!
