Cilantro, Chinese parsley (annual) cilantro, coriander
Annual herb with small white-rose coloured flower umbels. Height about 30-70cm. Healthy and strong aroma. The fresh leaves are used in tomato sauces, vegetable dishes and chutneys. The mature seeds are used in pastries.
Direct seed from April. Due to a slow germination process prevent weed growth. To harvest the fruits, cut the full plant when the seeds are mature and dry. Afterwards put in a bag and carefully thresh. Separate the straw and chaff.
