cress, canary bird flower
Simplex, mixed (annual) cress, canarybird flower
Popular climbing plant with flowers of a bright yellow, orange and red colour. Planted below apple trees and roses, it repels the greenfly. The juice of the leaves is claimed to help prevent hair loss by rubbing on the scalp. Blooms from July to the first frost.
Sow from April/May at location where the plant can vine. Plant a grain every 10cm. Non-fertilised soils are of advantage.
