This is THE bee meadow plant. It is low maintenance with lush growth that provides nectar to insects in abundance. The dense root system loosens the soil and makes phacelia the ideal green manure. It provides beneficial shelter, and has an inhibitory effect on soil-borne nematodes.
For bee meadow, sow from March to July directly into a finely prepared bed. Rake lightly. For green manure, sow until early September. Keep moist during the germination phase.
