Red one red orach
Grandmother cultivated the orache still as valuable leafy vegetable; however it was displaced by spinach. Today it presents is an exclusiveness in garden of garden enthusiasts. This orache adorns a particular intensive red. The leaves are rich in iron, calcium and vitamin A.
Plant directly in the garden bed from April, in rows with a distance of 40cm. It grows fast and trouble free up to a height of 2m. The young shoots and leaves are used for lettuce, prepared like spinach or stewed in oil. Long harvest season from June to October. Rich yield.
