Thyme (perennial) thyme

This bushy, aromatic plant boasts pink flowers. Thyme is a mainstay in the kitchen where it is used for cooking vegetable and meat dishes. It is also medicinal and can be made into herbal tea.

Sow in April into seedling trays. Transfer plantlets into pots. In early summer, pinch off the first shoots. In the autumn, transplant seedlings into the field at 30 ✕ 30 cm spacing. Harvest takes place on the second year of growth
