These plants grow to 60 cm high. The big, bright, yellow-orange flowers grow on these tall plants that are rather shunned by slugs. So they are easy to cultivate. The flower petals can be dried, pulverized and used as a natural food colouring for pastries.

Growing instructions

Sow in April into small pots and transplant into the open field in mid-May. Frost-free cultivation is necessary. Attention: Slug damage can occur although this variety is often avoided by slugs. Tagetes may not only be used as a garden bed plant, but also strategically planted between vegetables for when soil is depleted.
