Silk Poppy (annual)
With its delicate colours, reminiscent of fine silk, this silk poppy captured our hearts. With the first rays of sun, the flowers open and draw the bees in to frolic on the blooms. It blooms from June to August and reaches a height of 60–80 cm. It should be cut at the bud stage for flower bouquets.
Broadcast into the field from mid-March to late May. Only slightly cover seeds with soil. Since seeds are very fine, you can mix them with sand to give even distribution while broadcast seeding. Germination time takes one to two weeks. This poppy loves a sunny site and nutrient-rich soil.
