Common corn-cockle (Agrostema) (annual overwinter)

Agrostemma githago
https://www.zollinger.bio/web/image/product.template/1271/image_1920?unique=25eb0ef

This native herb grows amidst grain fields, but has largely disappeared due to herbicide use. This is unfortunate since the beautiful purple flowers add that special something in aestetics to the farm field. Height reaches 30–100 cm with a flowering time of June to July. Seeds are toxic in large quantities.
