Artichokes are perennial plants with a productive period of 3 to 4 years. This robust variety grows strong plants with a height of about 1.5 m. The flower buds can be harvested just before the bloom, or left to flower for those who want to enjoy their beautiful purple color.

Artichokes prefer rich, fertile soil. Sow them in march indoors in seed trays, and plant them from mid-may at a distance of 1x1 meters. Produces the first artichokes in the second year. Not winter hardy, protect by covering.
