Lactuca sativa sp.
Now for something unexpected and original! This lettuce shoots up quickly and keeps sending out leaves. You can harvest it continuously. But the best part is saved for last. The core can be cut off before flowering and cooked up just like asparagus. This gives an excellent yield in a small space. We recommend it for every balcony garden!
