https://www.zollinger.bio/web/image/product.template/1030/image_1920?unique=25eb0ef

This tropical/subtropical bean grows like a pole bean and grows very nicely in the Swiss climate. It gives a rich yield of up to 60 cm long pods of light green colour. The young pods, which are still very long at 40 cm, are very tender and tasty. Harvest them and cook as green beans. The mature pods can be harvested, thrashed, and used as dry beans. Height reaches up to 250 cm.

Growing instructions

Sow from the middle to the end of April in small pots in a warm place. Starting in mid-May, transplant into the field or a plastic tunnel greenhouse. Use the same spacing as pole beans (~ 60 cm) and let them climb up a 2.5 m pole. At first they seem shy and grow slowly, but when the weather heats up they seem to explode in productivity. Harvest continuously until autumn.
