This, up to 60 cm tall, chamomile shows off its abundant, golden-yellow flowers. They blossom in June during the second year of cultivation. They were commonly used as fabric dye until the advent of chemical dyes for making clothes a nice yellow tint. In addition, yellow chamomile can naturalise and grow well on dry waysides and edges of houses and outbuildings to adorn the path.
Sow in June into seedling trays or September into the field. Transplant seedlings to the field at 40 ✕ 40 cm spacing. Do not sow too densely if direct seeding.
