Pineapple cherry, Ground cherry, Husk tomato Pineapple cherry

Pineapple cherry is the little sister of goldenberry from the Andes. The fruits are held in small papery lanterns which fall to the ground when ripe. They taste, as the name implies, slightly of pineapple. This exotic addition to your plot gives you exciting flavours hinting at the tropics. Begin harvest in August and continue until the first frost.

Sow at the beginning to the end of March in a warm place. Seedlings do very well in pots. In the field, transplant around May 20 at a distance of 100 cm. Tie plants up to a post for rigidity and protection from rain is not required.
