The blue-podded Muothathaler is a speciality for your garden. Starting from the beginning of July to autumn it produces a rich harvest of tender, long and naturally stringless pods. The deep-rose coloured blossoms are very decorative in the dark foliage. The beans can be used for deep freezing, drying and sterilisation. Upon cooking it looses its blue colour and turns green.
Sowing from middle of May to beginning of June. In a distance of 60cm position about 6-7 beans in a circle at a depth of 2cm. “Beans need to hear the bells ring”. Put a 2.5m long pole in the centre of each circle. Generous additions of compost pay off. Garden tip: Let the seeds swell in lukewarm chamomile tea for 12h before the sowing.
