With its delicate colours like painted on silk, this poppy it a joy for our hearts. The flowers open with the first rays of sun light and instantly the bees start frolicking in the flowers. It blooms from June to August, reaches a height of 60-80cm and should be cut for flower bouquets when the blossoms are still budded.
(Papaver rhoeas). Sow from middle of September to beginning of October or in spring right on the spot. Do not add compost. Grows at sunny locations in every kind of garden soil. Plant together with corn flowers, corn bellflower, and corncockle.
