You can find it on local markets in Egypt, the small crisp cucumber called Cleopatra. It tastes so good, that we immediately started a selection for our climate zone. And here it is! It is a refreshing snack and tastes the best when cut in small cubes in Greek salad.
Sow from middle of April: 2 seeds per 8cmcm pot or directly in the open land from middle of May. Plant distances 50x50cm. Nutrient-rich soil, compost and mulch cover are beneficial. For more efficiency, plant lettuce, turnip cabbage or radish between the young cucumber plants or combine with maize.
