A specialty with ancient origins. Plant a bit of history and eat what the men and women of old ate from their gardens. The outer leaves are green with inner leaves being yellow. It overwinters easily and shoots up in springtime two weeks later than the green varieties. Sow in autumn only!
Sow from the end of July to August in rows at 10–15 cm spacing. Keep weed free. Harvest throughout the winter until spring. Early seeding hardly bots. Ideally, plant in beds that have been harvested already.
