The flaming-scarlet, heart-shaped blooms are the distinctive feature of this garden flower from Asia Minor. It reaches 80 cm high and blooms from June to September. In the past, every cottage garden had this symbol of burning romance.

Sow into seedling trays in June to July. Transfer to a larger tray or pot once, then transplant into the field at a distance of 20 ✕ 20 cm in a sunny place. Blooms from the second year after planting.
