Corn flower (annual hibernating) Cornflower
This field herb was very common in the past but it has been displaced in our field flora due to the usage of herbicides. The corn flower with its blue blossoms is considered the quintessence of idyllic, extensive agriculture. Height 30-80cm.
Broad-cast seeding on the spot in September-October or March-April. Grows in every open garden soil at sunny locations. Do not add compost. Sow together with poppy, corn bellflower, corncockle and Emmer.
