Early, green-podded and soft bean with white seeds. It is very aromatic and livens up the cooking space. Great to eat fresh, dehydrated for recipes, or canned. Robust in diverse field conditions.
Sow from mid-may to early June at a distance of 60 cm. Place 6 beans in a circle at 2 cm depth. As they say, “Beans must hear the bells ringing.” So do not plant them too deep. Place a 2.5 m stake in the centre of each circle to give the beans a support to climb up. These beans respond well to ample compost. Gardener Tip: Soak seeds for 12 hours in lukewarm chamomile tea before sowing.
