(cucurbita maxima) Smaller, dark-green, round fruits with orange flesh. Very compact consistency, similar in taste to chestnuts. Very valuable food item. Creeping plant. Storage variety.
Sow a single seed in a 10cm pot in the middle of April at a temperature of about 20°C. Only lightly cover with soil or sand and keep evenly moist. Bed out from the 20th of May (Attention slug damage!) either at the base of the compost heap or in nutrient-rich soil. Frost-protected culture necessary. Storage at a temperature of at least 15°C.
