Chard is the typical leafy vegetable in the alpine region. Very tasty and productive.
Sow from end of April to middle of July in rows with a distance of 20-30cm. Chard loves heavy soils. Well-rotten compost and generous watering refine the aroma. Harvest, depending on the seeding date, from June to October. Late seeding produces an additional cut in the following spring.
