Planting your seedlings - 24. February 2021

To be able to harvest succulent peppers, aubergines and tomatoes in summer, it is essential to plant quality seedlings in May. Those who do not want to buy them need a lot of patience - it’s in March that you must prepare your seedlings!

You can find detailed instructions on our YouTube channel.

First and foremost, you must choose a good soil. Watch this video to learn more about the important factors to consider.

The first step is planting. Get a quality soil for planting and fill the terrines that you find in the garden centre or flower shops. You can also use egg cartons.

Lightly tap the soil, water it, and then put a seed in each compartment and press just a little. Be careful to not push them too deep!

Next, cover the seeds with a thin layer of sand or vermiculite, and then cover with newspaper to prevent them from drying out.

Keep your seeds in light and at a constant temperature of 20C°. Once the first seeds have germinated, you can remove the paper to let the light pass through.
